BLACKHAWK
JEWEL OF TRI VALLEY
Blackhawk California, located in the foothills of Mt. Diablo, was originally a ranch where prized thoroughbreds graced this natural splendor. In the late 70's, Blackhawk California was transformed into a 4800-acre gated country club community. What makes Blackhawk California so spectacular is that you don't have to leave home to enjoy the amenities of a world-class resort; all in the serenity of the thousands of acres of open space and parkland that surrounds and meanders the community, and the school statistics are some of the highest in the area. Tree-lined streets, country estates, villas and several gated communities exude a feel of another time and place. Truly, Blackhawk California is the exclusive community for those who demand the very best.
Half a dozen distinct gated communities reside within prestigious Blackhawk California. A 3-mile tree-lined jogging path joins them. Blackhawk California Country Club is by far the largest of these communities with two 24-hour guard gates. This distinct development is surrounded by thousands of acres of open space winding through ancient oaks, blossoming specimen trees and views of Mt. Diablo and the San Ramon Valley. Homes in within the gates of the Country Club range from 2,000 square foot townhouses to estates in excess of 30,000 square feet. The Blackhawk California Country Club community is enhanced by two golf courses, each with an award-winning designed clubhouse. The golf courses are referred to as the Lakeside and the Falls Golf courses.

Blackhawk Country Club:
From its beginning, Blackhawk California enjoyed prestige. Bruce Devlin/Robert Von Hagge designed the 6904-yard, dramatic Lakeside golf course featuring an island on the 18th green! The Falls golf course was designed by Ted Robinson, and features five lakes and a spectacular waterfall. Because of the incredible views and dramatic utilization of Blackhawk California´s natural terrain, these are some of the most challenging courses in the world!
Blackhawk California´s award-winning 20 courts are fully landscaped, and a clubhouse and pro shop complete the picture. Many tournaments have been won on these courts, and there are tennis clubs, camps and social events for everyone from children to seniors. The Blackhawk California Swim Club boasts award-winning teams year after year. The competition-sized swimming pool includes grassy hiss areas for watching the competition as well as enjoying the Fourth of July BBQ, which has become a tradition in the area. Lessons, camps, competitions, exercise classes and lap swimming are enjoyed in the year-round swimming pool, and there's another Olympic-sized swimming pool in case one is just too busy and you want some quiet time to read a book or sunbathe!
Sports and Recreation Center houses 25 acres of parks, basketball courts, outdoor sand volleyball courts, a children's play park and an amphitheatre, and showers for all of your leisure activities.
Lakeside Clubhouse is a pinnacle of luxury and elegant clubhouse features cozy as well as stately dining rooms, a lakeside terrace facing the 18th green and lake, and houses a broad selection of sumptuous cuisine presented by an exceptional staff.
